Kidwelly Castle/Castell Cydweli. Norman stronghold is a match for the greatest castles of Wales

A big day of exploring today. We headed out to Kidwelly castle. A massive castle with many rooms to see. Reading and learning about the history of its invasion was amazing. Cait practiced her very terrible archery skills which would’ve resulted in the bow and arrow falling to the floor

Fraser finally found a seat to fit him.

Then off we went to Kidwelly deli which had some insane baguettes. We were way too hungry to take a photo. Then off we went to The Brook  (local pub) to have a pint and a gin and finished it all off with an Indian. Thank you to Steve and Bumps (aka Glan)for doing all the research to find the best castles for us to explore in the time we had. It’s been amazing having the opportunity to explore South Wales and having the taste for some of the history here has started a travel bug in Fraser wanting to explore more of Wales. We are very thankful for the amazing hospitality and for a welcoming home (as always) that Bumps and Grandma (aka Glan and Eunice) have provided for us. It has been a huge pleasure and we can’t wait to do it all again. Time has gone way too fast. Another huge thank you to Steve for being driver among many other things We couldn’t have done it without you. Stay tuned for our trip to Clarkson farm tomorrow…..
