Amsterdam
21 November: Once we arrived we were met with a view of the canal and it took our breath away. And the bikes! So many bikes. Then off we went to find out hotel. After laying our stuff down and a Quick Look at our room we went straight back out to explore the city! We found ourselves a nice bar to eat dinner and watch the ice skaters go around on the rink that was set up. Then we spent the rest of the night exploring the city.
22 November: 19,000 steps… a day well spent We started our day off with an insane breakfast from the breakfast club and finally some good coffee. Then we were left with the question what should we do today? Overwhelmed with choices we decided to book a go city pass to give us free entry to all the options. We started by meeting some stars at the wax museum. There was some really cool interactive experiences as well as just the stars. Then it was off to our house. A museum of techno/ EDM/ and any kind of underground music. Again another amazing interactive experience with a set up dance floor and dj set ups to play around with. After this we set off to explore the very famous Heineken experince. The reviews were correct. It’s an amazing tour. With 3 free beers! We learned all about the brewing process and had yet another very interactive experience. Another drinking tour next…. Off to the house of bols. This was more tailored to the cocktails. Given a shot at the start and told to have to when told. We explored the different smells that went into different flours of cocktails. Once instructed we stepped inside a door and took the shot while there were strobe light effects, sound and vibrations. We finished off with, you guessed it, a free cocktail! We were given an huge list to choose from and watched the bartenders make it. We finished it all off with a fire lit dinner! A cosy experience for sure. After a short rest we will set back off to explore more of the night life and then settle into bed for another Jam packed day tomorrow!
